CCRP Hopeful After Announcement of Talks Between WINDALCO and The National Workers Union

The Caribbean Community of Retired Persons (CCRP) Limited  notes with interest the recent announcement via the media that WINDALCO is set to resume talks with the National Workers Union on April 30, regarding the removal of health and insurance benefits for their pensioners from the Company’s Health Insurance Scheme.

Because of our concern for the plight of the pensioners, which we have already expressed in writing to the Management WINDALCO, we anxiously await the result of the meeting so that we can continue to advise our members who have brought this matter to our attention.  We hope that the meeting will be productive and a decision taken in favour of the pensioners.

The Caribbean Community of Retired Persons was launched in April 2010, with the mission of “working to ensure that the vast talent, experience and wisdom of our seniors will be respected, and that they enjoy the quality of life, which they so richly deserve.”

Already boasting over 600 members from across Jamaica, the organization continues to be extremely proactive in serving as a vital resource for retired persons, as well as for those preparing for retirement.
