While we celebrate the first step towards legislation to protect older people, the need is so urgent that a committee was recently convened by the seniors advocacy organization, CCRP with representatives of leading Government organizations.

The seniors' advocacy organization, CCRP is continuing its mission to inform and educate Jamaica’s senior citizens through a series of meetings on various topics.

On Friday, August 9, the Caribbean Community of Retired Persons (CCRP) hosted a fundraiser to aid elderly victims of Hurricane Beryl with a benefit performance of the National Dance Theatre Company's (NDTC) 62nd season. The full house audience raised 
J$790,670.

The Caribbean Community of Retired Persons (CCRP) is expressing its warmest appreciation for the actions taken in Jamaica’s Upper House on Friday, October 25, 2024, aimed at caring for and protecting the elderly. The Senate approved a motion to create the relevant laws.
