Five Outstanding Jamaicans receive CCRP 2023 Living Legacy Awards
The Caribbean Community of Retired Persons (CCRP) honoured five outstanding Jamaicans with their 2023 Living Legacy Awards on Thursday, October 12 at a presentation luncheon held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.
The honourees and the categories in which they were awarded are:
Dr Blossom Anglin-Brown for Health in memory of Syringa Marshall-Burnett;
Hon Steadman Fuller for Business in memory of J Lester Spaulding; -
Young Readers for CCRP Living Legacy Awards
Brandon Howlett, a second-year student majoring in Business Management at the University of the West Indies, is no stranger to reading citations for the CCRP Living Legacy Awards. Having been a young reader last year, he felt great when asked to do it again, as it showed that his reading was well received. With enthusiasm, Brandon is eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to read the citation for Dr.

CCRP Christmas Concert 2021 - Sharing the Christmas Spirit through talent
CCRP continued its virtual concert series with an evening of song, verse and instrumental harmonies dedicated to the holiday spirit, signified by Mariah Carey’s version of “Oh Holy Night” which got the proceedings underway.

Celebrating Jamaica in Good Spirits
Outside, there was driving rain and the press of COVID curfew, but for the members of CCRP, there was warm fellowship, virtually shared, as well as peaceful reflection and mirth, as the organization presented a member-driven Talent Showcase, under the theme "Let's Celebrate Jamaica" on Wednesday evening (Aug. 25).
As diverse as the acts were, each of the performers delivered their items - whether lighthearted or serious - with a palpable passion and verve befitting the occasion.
